Sic Sox Circular Ltd. is an Indigenous-owned startup company based in Chapleau, Ontario. They offer a textile recycling program that aims to divert unusable textiles from landfills. Their mission is to offer a one-of-a-kind textile recycling program that provides communities and citizens with a way to participate in landfill diversion of clothing and textiles, with measurable benefits to the North. They collect textiles in all conditions, which are then brought back to their headquarters in Brunswick House First Nation. Gently used donations are cleaned and resold online or through their thrift store. Landfill-quality material is diverted to a shredder to create usable fibers, aiming to create an industry-approved housing insulation product.
