Rowe’s Construction, established in 1975, provides general contracting services for the area. Services include general contracting (commercial/industrial/residential), gravel, freight, and equipment rentals. The company also offers road construction and maintenance, and freight services. Rowe’s Construction has completed many large-scale construction projects in the North. The company employs approximately 50 full-time and up to 150 seasonal employees. 90% of their staff are northerners and approximately 70% are either of aboriginal descent or individuals that were born in the north. They offer a variety of services including building maintenance, trucking (sand, gravel, liquid), carpentry, concrete/cement work, drywall, earthmoving, freight, general contracting, highway maintenance, road construction, renovation, rental and leasing, road maintenance, roofing, siding and snow removal.
