The company filed for bankruptcy on December 5, 2019. Prendiville Industries purchased Kenora Forest Products in 1994. The parent company, Prendiville Industries, shuttered its Kenora sawmill in September 2019, laying off more than 100 staff at that time. The company made significant investments in the operation, putting $22 million into the sawmill. In 2020 PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., LIT (“PwC”) was appointed as receiver of all of the assets of Prendiville Industries Ltd.
