It uses its proprietary gravity-based Stress Field Detection (SFD) remote-sensing survey system. SFD is an airborne exploration survey method designed to rapidly identify and rank prospect-level leads, reducing time, cost, and risk in the exploration cycle, with no environmental footprint or community impact. The company, incorporated in 1994, was formerly known as Energy Exploration Technologies Inc. and changed its name to NXT Energy Solutions Inc. in September 2008. SFD technology focuses on high-grading exploration prospects and minimizing the overall on-ground impact of exploration activities.
