NADA GROCERY INC.

Nada was Canada's first package-free grocery store, operating for eight years. The company's mission was to connect people to a just and regenerative food system, tackling plastic pollution and food waste while supporting a just food system through innovative sourcing criteria. Nada closed its storefront on April 30, but continued as an online store until permanently closing on May 31, 2023. Nada started as a pop-up in 2015 and opened a permanent storefront in 2018. Over its lifespan, Nada diverted over 1.5 million pieces of packaging from landfills and hosted numerous community events. Nada is a package-free grocer on a mission to cultivate a better world by inspiring people to change the way they shop for groceries.
