In 1983 Lower Saxony Farms was purchased by the Rohling family, renovated into an equine facility in 1991, then became a successful schooling, show, and boarding barn. Following their retirement, Ingrid and Heinz leased out their facility as a lesson and boarding barn for 5 years. The Rohling's have since returned, and now run a co-op boarding farm under the management of Jen Little in the Orleans area. Lower Saxony Farms is a horse boarding facility in the east end of Ottawa, offering indoor (co-op) and outdoor board.
