Lake Country Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) classes for all ages and skill levels. They offer a variety of programs including adult, kids, and family classes. They focus on the principles of BJJ: a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent by using proper technique and leverage. Training methods include: technique drilling, positional drilling, and full sparring, otherwise known as rolling. Rolling, also know as grappling, is when each person tries to submit their opponent using any legal technique. Physical conditioning is also an important part of training. LC BJJ was founded in 2015 by Donavin Scott and Maggie Snowsell. They offer everything from birthday parties and summer camps to private and group lessons and classes for all ages.
