KAI Innovations Inc. was a Canadian healthcare technology company providing Software as a Service (SaaS) based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) services, particularly OSCAR EMR. It was acquired by WELL Health Technologies Corp. in May 2019. Before the acquisition, KAI Innovations was the largest provider of OSCAR EMR services to healthcare clinics in Canada, supporting approximately 560 clinics in Ontario and over 2,100 registered practitioners. KAI Innovations's CEO, Arjun Kumar, became WELL's Chief Information Officer, while COO Sara Bond, joined WELL's management team as Senior Vice President of Product Development. KAI Innovations generated approximately $3.5 million of revenues over the past year and has developed patient engagement applications such as an online booking system and self-service check-in.
