JB Osteopathy ltd. is a Family Friendly Osteopathy practice located in Kitchener, ON. My mission is to help families stay active and pain-free while navigating life's challenges. The foundation of an osteopathic treatment is the interrelationship between anatomy and physiology, the structure and the function of the human body. When the structure is free of restriction the body can self-heal and self-regulate as it was intended. I'm Jillian Bechtold, the owner and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner at this clinic. I earned my degree with honors from the University of Waterloo, where I majored in Kinesiology and minored in Rehabilitative Sciences, along with a pre-health specialty. I started my career as a Registered Kinesiologist, specializing in orthopedic bracing. Later, I pursued further education and completed a four-year intensive program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (M.OMSc) which led me to become a certified member of OOA/OSTCAN. Osteopathic treatment is based on the connection between anatomy and physiology, highlighting how the body's structure and function work together. When the body is free from restrictions, it can naturally heal and regulate itself as intended.
