Giant Steps is a therapy centre that builds the skills and abilities of children with autism through personalized, evidence-based therapies and life skills programming. Established in 1994 by parents of children with autism and educators and modeled on the Giant Steps program in Montreal, Giant Steps Toronto/York Region is a therapy centre for elementary-school aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Giant Steps builds the skills and abilities of children with autism and fosters their growth and development through personalized, evidence-based therapies and life skills programming. Giant Steps has been at the forefront of autism education and inclusion for nearly 45 years. Its intensive educational and therapeutic programs, offered to students aged four to 21, are unique in Quebec and have been replicated around the world.
