CITYHOUSING HAMILTON CORPORATION

CityHousing Hamilton (CHH) is the largest social housing provider in Hamilton, providing safe, well-maintained, and affordable homes for over 13,000 tenants, including single adults, families, and seniors. CHH is a municipal-owned affordable housing provider that provides housing to families, seniors, couples, single people, and people with special needs in a variety of housing forms including townhouses, apartments, single and semi-detached dwellings. As of January 1, 2006, Hamilton Housing Corporation, Dundas Valley Non-Profit Housing Corporation, and the Municipal Non-Profit (Hamilton) Corporation were amalgamated into CityHousing Hamilton (CHH) Corporation. CHH consists of almost 7,000 units spread over 1,265 properties. The organization's mission is to provide affordable housing that is safe, well-maintained, cost-effective, and supports the diverse needs of the communities it serves. CHH has an estimated asset value of approximately $1,030 million and a net book value of $151 million, with an annual operating budget of $51 million.
