Blyth Farm Cheese produces farmstead gouda-style cheese from goat's milk in various flavors near the village of Blyth. They were founded by Paul and Heleen VanDorp who immigrated from the Netherlands with a dream to make cheese. The company opened their on-farm cheese plant in 2011 and the cheese has captured multiple awards at the Royal Winter Fair and was named the cheese of the year at the Canadian Cheese Awards in 2014. Blyth Farm Cheese is handily available right on Blyth’s main street at both Scrimgeour's Food Market and Queens Bakery and is an ingredient in many dishes served in local restaurants. The founder, Paul VanDorp, also serves as the cheesemaker.
