Big Bang Cider is a farm-based cidery located in Nanaimo, BC. They are one of the few 100% heritage cider apple orchards in BC. Their focus is on making traditional dry ciders using proper cider apples. Their ciders are vintage based and will change with each growing season. They aim to reintroduce the community to traditional heritage cider. The orchard features over 25 cider-specific apple varieties from France, England, and North America. They also offer modern dry cider using local ingredients. They are open Saturdays & Sundays from 12 pm to 6 pm, as well as on Good Friday and Easter Monday. The cider is currently only available for purchase at the farm. Big Bang Cider is home to one of B.C.’s first 100% heritage blend cider apple orchards.
