Area One Farms is a Canadian agricultural investment group that partners with Canadian farmers, providing capital through equity partnerships rather than traditional leasing or debt models. Founded in 2013, the firm invests in operating farms and land improvements, in partnership with Canadian farmers. They help farmers to buy land, improve land, and achieve critical scale. The company has restored over 40,000 acres of retired farmland and has over C$700 million in assets under management across more than 180,000 acres through over four-dozen farm partnerships. The firm recently closed its fifth fund, Area One Farms Limited Partnership V, with an initial C$127 million (US$91.6 million) haul, targeting C$500 million.
