Aetas Health Care Inc. began providing in-home health care, support services, and child and family services in Alberta in 1971. The company provides healthcare and support in various settings, such as homes, lodges, assisted living environments, nursing homes, hospitals, and personal care and group homes. Its health care and support services include homemaking, meal preparation, infant and child care, personal care, companionship, respite care for family caregivers, live-in care, and nursing. Aetas Health Care provided services 24 hours a day, seven days a week with staff comprised of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Personal Care Attendants and Home Support Workers. The mission of Aetas Health Care was to provide compassionate health care and support in a manner that preserved human dignity and the right to self-determination and independence within a home, community or institutional setting. Aetas Health Care services were customized to the needs of the client, respecting his or her spiritual, emotional and physical needs.
